2017 La Vigne Des Sablons Vouvray — Loire, France ($20)
From Maison Foucher, La Vigne Des Sablons 2017 is a mouth-watering off-dry Vouvray produced from 100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire wine region. Light gold in the glass with aromas of soft orange and briny mineral notes on the nose. Fresh, vibrant on the palate with green apple, citrus zest and mineral flavours. Great acidity for food.

2019 Zoe Rosé — Macedonia, Greece ($20)
The Zoe wines by Skouras winery in Greece sell like hotcakes, and it’s pretty awesome that they do because they contain some pretty esoteric, Greek grape varieties. This one is 70% Agiorghitiko (pronounced “ah-your-YIT-iko” a red skinned grape that’s similar to Malbec but brighter with more fruit) and 30% Moscofilero (pronounced “mosk-oh-feel-AIR-o,`” a white grape that errs on the floral side of white wines, aromatic like a Magnolia flower but with high acid and nice minerality). We adore this wine. It’s made by Skouras, which is the largest Greek winemaker but by no means “large scale.” It’s a family run winery that focuses on sustainability and low intervention winemaking.

2019 Andrôit Colombard — Monterey, California ($24)
This one’s a winner in both style and price point. Folks compare this particular wine to the grape “Sylvan” which is grassy, lean, white wine but this one has a bit more character. Low intervention and terroir-driven, this one’s a no brainer.

2019 La Chapelle du Bastion Picpoul de Pinet — Languedoc-Roussillon, France ($14)
This little white from the south of France is dry, clean and fresh with yellow peach and lemony citrus in the nose and mouth. The 'Picpoul' grape variety is used to make light white wines and Armagnac. The grapes for this excellent Picpoul are harvested on the slopes of the Languedoc facing the Mediterranean, and the sunny climate of the region gives the grapes wonderful ripeness. Unoaked to keep the wine fresh, this is a great white for serving with seafood, or as a crisp, refreshing aperitif.

2017 Catena Alta Chardonnay — Mendoza, Argentina ($30)
The Catena Alta Chardonnay presents an intense greenish-yellow color. The nose offers ripe white fruit aromas such as pears and peaches that are interwoven with delicate citrus and floral notes, such as Jasmine. The palate shows rich and concentrated ripe pear, apple and apricot flavors with a light note of minerality. The wine finishes long and complex with crisp, mineral acidity.

2018 Dr. Thanisch Riesling — Mosel, Germany ($26)
Very well balanced and harmonious with an appealing bouquet of pear, quince and peaches. A delicate herbal note, fresh citrus as well as the typical Mosel minerality. The crisp, dry finish makes this wine extremely refreshing and enjoyable. It’s fresh and approachable off-dry style makes it the perfect every-day wine. It matches almost any dish, light salads, seafood, Asian dishes as well as chicken or a risotto. Great also just to relax and share a glass of wine with good friends.

2016 Château de Treviac Corbières — Talarian, France ($20)
Very light with floral notes. Tart, light pineapple. Fruit purity with hints of citrus & pineapple. Aged in medium toasted oak barrels from 4th generation wine maker, Arnaud Sie.

2018 Milou Chardonnay — Pays d’Oc, South of France ($14)
Milou Chardonnay is so easy to love. Its zesty lemony finish perfectly illuminates rich flavors of white peach and fresh pineapple on the mid-palate. No need to shout, everything is gracefully in balance here. A wine to be enjoyed on any occasion - as a perfect complement to an array of foods, moods and company.

2017 Mont Marçal Cava — Penedes, Spain ($16)
Poached apple, tangerine and pastry cream notes are layered with lemon curd and chopped nut accents in this mouthwatering Cava. Lively and balanced, with a skein of spice winding through the finish. Drink now.

2017 Quinta de la Rosa Estate Red — Duoro, Portugal ($28)
The La Rosa style is to make well defined wines without too much extraction, tannin or oak. Wines that are rich and full bodied whilst being fresh and lively with a good acidity and minerality. The extreme heat during 2017 resulted in a robust, structured La Rosa red. It is a concentrated wine but with balance so you don’t sense any over maturation. Intense aromas that are hard to define with balance fruit, herbal and spice undertones. On the palate, the wine is rich and full of vigour and energy.

2018 Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir — Central Coast, California ($17)
To create this white whale of the wine world, the maker went to California’s Central Coast - where the foggy mornings and cool evenings have a favorable effect on the heartbreaker grape. A certain amount of skill and tenacity is essential to produce a Pinot of this stature - and Folly of the Beast is proof that a little madness pays off. Aged in 30% new French oak for 12 months to enhance notes of sweet spice, this round Pinot pairs nicely with pork, pizza and cheeses.

2018 Es Okay Portuguese Red Blend — Mendocino, California ($28)
Es Okay red is a blend of Portuguese red grape varieties: Touriga National, Tinta Cao, Tinta Ruiz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca. Fresh, classic glou glou style red, light body, bursting with juicy red cranberry, blueberry and cherry fruits. Woodsy with dried herbs and a plush texture. So easy to drink, it’s much more than Okay! Farmed with organic practices.

2017 Reunión Malbec — Mendoza, Argentina ($22)
Deep, concentrated red color with purple hints. It is a very expressive wine with ripe, fruity aromas of plum and cherry, as well as notes of chocolate. Reunión Malbec is soft and round on the palate with velvety and mature tannins; it has a well balanced and full-bodied long finish.

2016 Pierre Jean Villa Côte-Rôtie Carmina — Rhone, France ($45)
Fruit-forward and not too light, the nose is perfumed with heady aromas of violets, ripe raspberry, and cassis, with hints of tapenade, woody herbs, and subtle notes of black pepper. The mid-weight palate offers ripe berry and stone fruit flavors underlain by a spicy minerality and framed by fresh acidity and fine-grained  tannins. There is good verve and style here on a long mouth-watering finish. This is lovely now, though should gain in sophistication and detail as the the pretty fruit integrates with the structural elements, perhaps after 5-7 years in the cellar. A fine Côte-Rôtie that straddles the line between polish and rusticity deftly.

2018 Barbera d’Alba Paolina — Treiso, Italy ($20)
This wine comes from the assemblage of different vineyards, creating a fresh that exhibits strong, but soft Barbera characteristics. The nose is vinous and intensely fruity, with nice hints of red currants and raspberries; taste fresh and vibrant on the mouth, showing a long, rich, smooth flavour.

2016 Pets Petit Sirah — Clarksburg, California ($20)
From one of the coolest spots in the Central Valley, this huge but supple wine tames the varietal's bold tannins with plenty of lush flavors of black cherry and blackberry. It is full in weight, with thick but smooth tannins and a compelling jammy richness that makes it easy to appreciate.
